Students

The Beltane Offer

Beltane College is a person‑centred Further Education college. This means we focus on each student as an individual; their needs, strengths and the support that helps them thrive.

We use Universal Design for Learning (UDL) to make sure every student can learn in a way that works for them. Our teaching is flexible, supportive and designed around different learning styles.

Movement, therapeutic activities and real, hands‑on tasks are a key part of our day. These help students stay engaged, build confidence and feel healthy and motivated.

Our students learn in the heart of the community. They build real relationships with local people, organisations and workplaces — connections that last and help strengthen the local economy

We are proud to work with Open Awards by sharing our commitment to supporting learner success and upholding their mission to ‘change lives through learning’.

As an awarding organisation and registered charity, Open Awards are committed to supporting learner achievement, meaningful training and accessible education across all their qualifications.

They ensure a high-quality student experience by providing qualifications regulated by Ofqual, Qualification in Wales (QiW) and the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA).

Admissions

'I cannot thank you all enough. I have not seen (student) come home from an educational setting so happy for a long time. They have literally chewed my ear about everything they learnt.' Parent Feedback.

Education, Health, Care Plan

It is anticipated that you will have a current Education, Health and Care Plan in place, or the process of drafting the plan is underway with your local authority team. Admissions without an EHC plan is at the discretion of your home local authority

No qualification - just potential

You don’t need any previous qualifications to apply.
Our learning pathways are designed using Universal Design for Learning (UDL), meaning we start from where you are. Most of our courses begin by working towards Level 1 or Level 2 and support progression up to Level 3 (equivalent to GCSEs or A Levels) We’ll work with you to build confidence, unlock potential, and help you move forward towards a Supported Internship or further learning, at your own pace.

Inclusive Design, Real Progress

Begin with our Foundation Year. Build confidence and independence, feel a sense of belonging, and learn in a supportive environment that moves at your pace.

When you are ready, take the next step into our Supported Internship Programme, where you'll gain real work experience and develop the skills for paid employment.

Need more time? Our Foundation Plus programme offers extended support to help you grow your independence further and prepare for your future.
